Welcome Respite

By Eblen

Blue sky, Green grass

Good morning, world. Whether you read this or not, whether you like me or not, and whether you live in a home or a bush – I hope you have a wonderful, peachy day. This planet is too big for us to be wallowing in the mud of negative thoughts. Don’t forget, we are all ants. We live, we die, and the world and its entire people continue to turn.

I returned from my vacation last night. My family and I spent three days in a fancy cabin in the woods. We saw deer, blue jays, and waterfalls as we contemplated how our world is shaping. I’d like to think anyone can afford a respite such as this, but that’s not the case. Without my family helping me, I would never have been able to afford it. Thank you, Mom and Dad, Tim, Thu, and David. It was fun.

Summer is upon us. The sun is out and although it is trying to kill us, you have to appreciate that we live on a wonderful planet.

Hobo On Hold

By Eblen

For the time being I am putting Hoboditty on hold. Unfortunately I have too much to do before I can commit to blogging while also maintaining the comic. On the top of my list is - FIND A JOB. Right now I expect to be back up and running by mid May.

Sorry for this delay. I somewhat expected the difficulty; that is why I have not promoted this website in any way. Once I do have an income, and once the time is ready for me to continue, I have some exciting ideas for this site. Please plan on coming back.

About Hoboditty

By Eblen

I woke up this morning, stretched, walked to the front door, opened it up, and got an Egg McMuffin. All in a manner of three minutes. Although I am not a fan of fast food, that was a pretty sweet way to start the day. How did I get an Egg McMuffin so fast? Well, let’s just say their drive thru has gotten pretty good.

Anyhow, that is not what I wanted to write about. Since I haven’t talked about Hoboditty yet, I feel like I should give an indication as to my plans. Every Tuesday and Thursday I will add a new comic to the story. Some of the comics will be normal 1-8 panel comics; others will be Flash and include movement and/or sound. It generally takes me 2-4 hours to create a normal comic, while the Flash comics take up to 10 hours. Of course it will be hard to be consistent with the comics, so I created a back stock. What you see now - I created in March.

Hoboditty is about Man vs. Corporation. Buddy Dillon gets his first “real” job at Sawyer Bank and life at the bank is dark, creepy, and unfair. Buddy finds himself mixed in with a revolution against the bank. There is much more to the story, but that should give you an idea of where I am going.

Peace out.

Game of Thrones to HBO

By Eblen

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones

They have been talking about creating a Game of Thrones HBO series for awhile now. Finally they seem to be setting up the shoot - IN IRELAND! According to the author, George RR Martin, it will be produced by David Benioff (Troy) and D.B. Weiss (Halo). I can only hope they do it justice; the book is full of great scenes and excellent characters in a harsh, political, and violent environment. When creating a list of favorite books of all time - Game of Thrones is number one for me. Read it if you haven’t.

Buddy Journal - Transport Bus

By BuddyDillon

…corner of my eye. It was like an explosion and the whole side of the bus was dripping blood. The guy in the hat didn’t blink. He turned to me, pointed the gun at me, and asked questions. The gun was bad, but the scariest part was the way the man in the hat acted. Like he was a carpenter and this was just another day in the shop.

Bots Have No Sense of Humor

By Eblen

Still new to blogging, I tend to approach the job with an overwhelming list of what I want to talk about. Because I have a lot to say, and for some reason I feel like I should say it. But I am arrogant in that way; who cares about my babbling. Eventually, as my feelings are known to readers of this blog, what I say might have more impact. However, right now only Google’s bots are scanning my blog, and they cannot grasp sarcasm. That is why Google AdSense has placed Ann Coulter ads on my site, because obviously I am right-wing (Sarcasm, bots! Sarcasm!).

For now, let me focus on three subjects that I have a need to touch bases on.

One: Blazers did not play well. I can only hope that they make the needed adjustments to make this series a competitive one.

Two: Stumptown was a blast this weekend. I met quite a few artists and spent too much money on their goods. Conventions are tiring though. My energy was sapped as of last night. I am not sure that humans were meant to converse that much. The comic industry is getting stronger though. Can’t help but walk away from Stumptown with pride and excitement.

Three: Andrew and Kincaid’s birthday party was on Saturday, (another reason I had no energy Sunday night). The boys had nerf gun battles and slept outdoors in tents. I have a lot of pride in my boys; they will help make the world a better place – I know it.

OK, that is it for now. Have a wonderful day, bots.
