Welcome Respite

Blue sky, Green grass

Good morning, world. Whether you read this or not, whether you like me or not, and whether you live in a home or a bush – I hope you have a wonderful, peachy day. This planet is too big for us to be wallowing in the mud of negative thoughts. Don’t forget, we are all ants. We live, we die, and the world and its entire people continue to turn.

I returned from my vacation last night. My family and I spent three days in a fancy cabin in the woods. We saw deer, blue jays, and waterfalls as we contemplated how our world is shaping. I’d like to think anyone can afford a respite such as this, but that’s not the case. Without my family helping me, I would never have been able to afford it. Thank you, Mom and Dad, Tim, Thu, and David. It was fun.

Summer is upon us. The sun is out and although it is trying to kill us, you have to appreciate that we live on a wonderful planet.

Hobo On Hold

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

For the time being I am putting Hoboditty on hold. Unfortunately I have too much to do before I can commit to blogging while also maintaining the comic. On the top of my list is - FIND A JOB. Right now I expect to be back up and running by mid May.

Sorry for this delay. I somewhat expected the difficulty; that is why I have not promoted this website in any way. Once I do have an income, and once the time is ready for me to continue, I have some exciting ideas for this site. Please plan on coming back.

About Hoboditty

Friday, April 24th, 2009

I woke up this morning, stretched, walked to the front door, opened it up, and got an Egg McMuffin. All in a manner of three minutes. Although I am not a fan of fast food, that was a pretty sweet way to start the day. How did I get an Egg McMuffin so fast? Well, let’s just say their drive thru has gotten pretty good.

Anyhow, that is not what I wanted to write about. Since I haven’t talked about Hoboditty yet, I feel like I should give an indication as to my plans. Every Tuesday and Thursday I will add a new comic to the story. Some of the comics will be normal 1-8 panel comics; others will be Flash and include movement and/or sound. It generally takes me 2-4 hours to create a normal comic, while the Flash comics take up to 10 hours. Of course it will be hard to be consistent with the comics, so I created a back stock. What you see now - I created in March.

Hoboditty is about Man vs. Corporation. Buddy Dillon gets his first “real” job at Sawyer Bank and life at the bank is dark, creepy, and unfair. Buddy finds himself mixed in with a revolution against the bank. There is much more to the story, but that should give you an idea of where I am going.

Peace out.

Welcome To Hoboditty

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Hello folks, I hope you enjoy the site. The primary purpose of Hoboditty is to entertain through the comic, my crooked point-of-view, and unique uses of web technologies. The secondary purpose is to pick up chicks. And the third is to make a difference in our rapidly-changing-world, in both ideology and arts new technical medium.

If successful, I believe this site could grow to go beyond the comic and daily blog. As a web designer, I am constantly learning new ways to use the web. As my web tools expand, I intend to use Hoboditty as a playground to create art using my new skills.

Hoboditty consists of four parts: the blog (Burnside Amphitheatre), the comic (Hoboditty), specialty pages, and the Gift Shop. The comic will be updated twice a week (on the T days); the blog will be posted daily. Specialty pages, such as Daily Fortune, and Gift Store products will be added as they are created. The site will constantly morph as new things are added and more friends decide to pitch in. (So far two of my friends have added to the site, Joel Hendrickson has added some of his designs to my store, and Reid Craig created the image behind Daily Fortune.)

Thanks for checking Hoboditty out. Please come back.

If you are a cute chick and single (or, better yet, you are a lesbian in an open relationship and bi-curious and like threesomes), send me an email, babe.
